The metalayer platform is an environment to co-create metalayer collaboration objects - the basic building blocks of any metalayer based site or product. Everything you see on the platform is a metalayer object: Discussion, News, Virtual Meetings - both synchronous and asynchronous, Virtual Presentations, Q&A, Files, Questionnaires, Web-forms, and Multimedia. Everything in the background is also a metalayer object: Session, Member, Alert, your shuttle, design templates, semantic definitions etc.

The metalayer modules and applications are built as a 'loose collaboration' of these small basic building blocks (See Lego Blocks)- Co-Creation and Collaboration on the layer means, to 'join these small pieces', to aggregate them, to 'weave' your collective environment.

The IdeaWeaver Shuttle

The shuttle is the interaction toolkit for the data traveller. The shuttle allows you to create any metalayer object at any place within the collective environment. The shuttle provides many ways to create content for various metalayer interaction objects through forms as well as WYSIWYG. The shuttle follows you while you data travel and is available wherever you go within the layer. It allows you, to 'weave' new objects (the 'toollets') at any place in real time, giving you the freedom to adapt the platform to your work. Using the shuttle, you weave your ideas into the collective carpet of concepts and knowledge.
